Durham College Epilepsy Association

Welcome to Durham College Epilepsy Association!

We are a group working in collaboration with Epilepsy Durham Region to provide information, support and education about Epilepsy and seizure disorders in our Durham College community! Epilepsy is a common neurological disease characterized by the tendency to have recurrent seizures which affects 1 in 100 people worldwide. Getting this diagnosis at first can be scary, as seizures are often unpredictable. Things like neurologists, medication and driving can become a part of this new adjustment.

That is why we are here!

Our goal is to create a group where individuals going through a diagnosis of Epilepsy or seizure disorder, or those who are passionate about learning more about Epilepsy have a space to come and share and create a support system within Durham College! Together, we can help others to live well with Epilepsy.

Meeting monthly on the Durham College campus.
