New Website Launch

September 21, 2021

Throughout the summer of 2021, the Epilepsy Durham Region (EDR) staff have been hard at work on a brand new and updated website. This website includes everything its predecessor had, and much more. Some new features include many new photos and videos, additional education content and resources, and information on our newest programs and services!

Information from Epilepsy Ontario, Epilepsy Ottawa, and Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario, as well as various other sources, were used to create the most up-to-date website content, in collaboration with Rodney Hagle, the web developer who worked on many epilepsy organization websites to create the most user-friendly, intuitive website possible for Epilepsy Durham Region.

Epilepsy Durham Region applied the skills of their summer staff members to create most of the content for the brand-new website, in particular the Education Coordinator, Kailey Haskell. The Events Coordinator, Maggie Miller, and the full-time staff also gave meaningful contributions to the new website.

Epilepsy Durham Region is thrilled to be utilizing the newest technology programs and services, including the likes of WordPress, MailChimp, and social media, along with the notable Canada Helps website to construct an extremely user-friendly, easy to navigate hub of EDR’s services, programs, events, and resources. The Epilepsy Durham Region team hope that this new website will contribute to the development of clients and community partners and increase accessibility resources for people affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders within the Durham Region community.
