
It is often said that children, teens and young adults with epilepsy face unique barriers. Having a seizure at school at this stage in their lives can be a traumatizing experience, and cause significant social ostracism.
Children, youth and educators will benefit from this inovative programme. Students will feel empowered to expect equal treatment in school, at work, and within their community. When the school population realize that epilepsy need not be a barrier to success, we will have a provided the opportunity for better understanding of what epilepsy is and not what fear makes it.
The focus of this educational programme is to dispel myths, dissolve barriers, and teach first response protocol for all types of seizures.
It is deliverable to service providers, educators, students, and employers. "Thinking About Epilepsy" elevates the quality of life for many imagine a society without fear, stigma and misunderstanding. Education will make this a reality.
