Wellness/In-Service Seminars
  










Volunteers are available to conduct presentations and host displays to community groups focusing on epilepsy. Epilepsy Durham Region also participates in community exhibits to promote healthy living and to circulate epilepsy related information.
 
A Wellness/In-Service Seminar is typically an hour in length, but can be tailored to meet the needs of your organization; corporations, seniors organizations, associations, schools, educational institutions, and not-for-profit agencies. Topics covered may include:   

 

- teaching strategies for educators
- appropriate response to a seizure (first aid)
- addressing seizure disorders in older adults
- seizure awareness workshops
